The Admiring Look đź‘Ť

I dare you to tell me that these are not two of the most beautiful children you have ever seen.

Looking at this picture, I can feel on my face that I’m giving it exactly my mother’s same expression that, when we were kids, my brother and I called “the admiring look.”

She would just stare at us sometimes, head tilted slightly and beam. That was the admiring look.

We were gently teasing her, but I think we knew what that look really meant. It was an expression that could only come from a mother, that radiated love, happiness, and connection.

And I know I do it all the time to these kids.
