Looking Forward 👍

I’m looking forward to Tuesday afternoon, when I can get my glasses figured out, and I can order that cute little pair I had put aside.

I’m looking forward to when I can see close up and far away again at the same time.

I’m looking forward to not getting a headache everyday.

It’s very interesting to me how I’ll think I’m being so original with my choices, but I’m really heavily influenced by what’s trending.

Like, for my last pair of glasses, I thought I’d try cat eye. It turns out they look pretty good on me. But they are everywhere right now.

We thought we were being so original in 2012 with the name Desmond. Nope. One year at his school, there were no fewer than four Desmonds, and three of them were in his same grade level.

It was a few years after Lost went off the air, too, I think. Wait, was it?

2012 was only two years after Lost went off the air. Must’ve still been fresh in people’s minds. Dang it, Desmond Hume. Nah, I’m just kidding. We love you, Desmond!

I guess it’s not a bad thing, exactly. It’s just that, being as veritably different as I am from the majority, I would expect to have different tastes, too.

But actually, when I think about it, most of my preferences are remarkably similar to everyone else’s. I like pizza, pasta, Chinese, Mexican, comfort food, steak, lobster, good beer, decent wine, almost any kind of dessert.

I like the prevailing music of my generation.

I laugh at the same comedies and cry at the same dramas.

I wear vaguely the same kinds of clothes as other people. I mean, I’m not wearing togas. I might be in trouble if I was.

Even though I’m somewhat unique internally, I blend in.

And let’s face it, everyone has their own set of perceptions and experiences that make them unique, too. No two people are ever identical. That’s what makes us beautiful.

Well, friends, as always, it’s been pure joy, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Have a magic Monday and a safe commute, and, as always, thanks for reading. ☮️ ♥️ ☺️
