I’ve been sweeping for what feels like forever. Well, alternately sweeping and stopping to shake out my hand. It’s not a good task for me right now. I should probably say so…but then what would he have me do instead?
Eddie is really young. Angelo, Evan, and of course, Ray are all closer to my age—40s, I’m thinking. Rick’s retiring. There’s this guy on second shift who’s been here since 1971. I can’t imagine doing this for that many years. No wonder he left our sponges on top of my boxes one day. Probably too damn tired to put them on the table.
I cannot believe Angelo smokes! He’s gone out there twice! He just never struck me as a smoker. Well, you learn something new everyday, I guess.
