I am peeling labels off of boxes this morning. Rick (a handler who was on medical leave for a while, but I know him pretty well now) saw me and says to Eddie (as I predicted he would), “What’s she doing here?”
“Carpal tunnel,” I said.
“Well how’s this gonna help?” he says. I just shrugged.
It’s pretty boring, but it’s not bothering my hands that much, and the warehouse is cooler than the production floor.
I have to wear a hard hat, though. And an orange vest. I must be quite a sight.
I think Ray might’ve been down here, talking to Eddie. I don’t see Ray that much anymore because he got promoted and works upstairs, now. But I think his new job is still vaguely connected to the warehouse. Eddie might’ve been telling him I was out here because of the carpal tunnel, I’m not sure.
All I know is that Ray looked at me funny when I walked by, just like he always used to. Ahhh, the good old days.
I cannot believe how fast they drive their vehicles back here, yikes!
Anyway, I’d better get back to it.
