My head hurts and my throat is sore. I don’t have any other news.
I am hooked on Words With Friends. If you want to play me, I’m L34H T4YL0R…I think?
There are too damned many Leah Taylors.
SNL in the mid-nineties was pretty weak. That’s where we’re at right now with SNL. We started at 1990.
I started watching SNL in 1991. My first whole episode was hosted by Kevin Bacon. My dad got me into it. It was one of the things that saved me when I was depressed. At first I didn’t get it, but then I really got into it, and looked forward to it every Saturday night, when I was usually babysitting. I didn’t have friends to hang out with that year. That year, my friends were Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Victoria Jackson… For a short time, I think I wanted to be a standup comedian, but I probably knew I wasn’t funny enough for standup.
I know I wanted to be an actress, so I could meet and marry Christian Slater. I even took an acting class through community college.
But then boys my own age actually started to like me, so I kind of forgot all about my whole plan. Good thing. I don’t think I would’ve been very happy with him. He’s a groper.
Anyway, when I got older and finally got a little bit of a social life, I stopped watching SNL. So these are the years I missed. And clearly I wasn’t missing much.
Then I think it gets better again in the late nineties, but, again, I really wasn’t watching it, so we’ll see. I know Tina Fey became a writer on the show about that time, so it must get better.
I didn’t watch much TV in high school or college, and, left to my own devices, I might still not watch a lot of TV. But it’s just what we do at night. If I’m able to stay awake.
So I guess I didn’t really have blogger’s block. I just thought I did. Goodnight, my readers ❤️
