Need Something to Keep My Hands Busy

…So I’m not eating. Seems like typing will work, for as long as I can think of things to write about.

I need to research the businesses I’m talking to tomorrow. I already have a little, but I need to do more. One of them was founded in 1994.

Ah, 1994. The year of my first boyfriend (not counting Paul McCowski from when I was in preschool). The year my taste in music vastly improved. The year of my first bad breakup, and subsequent horrible poetry: I mean awful, just horrendous.

My birth year was a terrible year for music. 1978. The top hit my birth week was “How Deep is Your Love?” by The Bee Gees. Compare that to 1974: Radar Love—Golden Earring. 1975: Carry on Wayward Son—Kansas. 1976: Magic Man—Heart. 1977: Easy—The Commodores (I will never apologize for my love of Lionel Richie) and Baby Come Back by Player. 1979: Comfortably Numb—Floyd.

Then there’s 1978. Disco. Blegh.

Of course, 1978 is also the year of Runnin’ with the Devil, Sultans of Swing, Buzz Cocks and lots of Devo, so there’s that.

I don’t have much more to say about this topic. I had a Dos Amigos salad for dinner. It was very, very tasty.

7:30–Okay, I retract my statement about 1978 being a horrible year for music. Derek just played me a ton of good music from that year. So, JUST KIDDING!
