Up at 1:30. Tried to sleep on the couch, but it’s no use. Breakfast at 2:30, because, of course, I’m already hungry. I’ll be lucky if I’m not out cold by 5 PM.
It’s frustrating, but it also gives me time for reflection. Right now, though, all I can think about is how tired I’m going to be by the afternoon, and I hope it won’t affect my productivity. It usually doesn’t. I get pretty much unlimited free coffee, unless the machine’s not working; that’s happened once or twice.
Maybe I can get to work extra early today. I like getting there early. I don’t have to rush around to get everything ready in time for 6:00. I have time to breathe.
Maybe I’ll just get in the shower at 3, get ready super early. I do have sponges to line. I have to draw lines on the little adhesive sponges that go on the parts. It’s kind of hard to explain. Not everybody draws lines. Sherrie can just eyeball her sponges. But I seem to need to line them to go fast. Otherwise, I take too much time deliberating where to place the sponges on the parts. If I take a picture, maybe it will be easier to understand.
I know, it’s fascinating stuff. That’s okay, I like it. It doesn’t require any real mental energy. Just dexterity, some speed, repetition, and consistency.
I spent 20 years in a profession that required a ton of critical thinking. It burned me out.
I’d still like to be writing, but that’s just not in the cards right now, I guess, though I am volunteer copywriting again.
Well, it’s 3:00. No point going back to sleep now. Might as well get showered and dressed. Have a great day, readers.
